Hi there!
My name is Allison Cazenave. I am a Registered Dietitian who specializes in oncology (cancer) nutrition support and care. I have been a Registered Dietitian for almost 12 years and have been working in the oncology setting for almost 5 years.
I am currently 1 of 8 Board Certified Specialist in Oncology Nutrition in the state of Louisiana & I am the only Oncology Nutrition Consultant in the state of Louisiana.
At my current job, I specialize in helping patients maintain and/or improve their nutritional status during cancer therapy (chemotherapy and/or radiation).
My goals through this platform are to continue to provide help outside of my current 8:00-:4:30, full-time job. I want to help cancer patients live longer, live better, and THRIVE during their survivorship, all through the power of nutrition.
Although I work with oncology (cancer) patients at my full-time job, I also LOVE to work directly with individuals who are not going through cancer treatment. My passion is to help you understand the balance and important of nutrition and lifestyle to optimize your health and manage health conditions.
Outside of oncology, I also have completed schooling and obtained credentials for Integrative & Functional Nutrition. This has helped me gain the knowledge and ability to look for the root cause of nutrition challenges rather than just correcting the current symptoms. My goal is to help correct the root cause of your challenge(s), which then help improve all other facets of your health and nutrition.
I am also a Certified Leap Therapist. This certification has given me the knowledge and ability to assist people in understanding their food sensitivities along with its associated dietary changes to help calm their immune system down. Through this process, we can heal the body, reduce the symptom load, and help you feel better!
